One World Arts Week
Each year, a week is set aside so that the curriculum is planned for the children to emerse themselves in a different culture. Visitors and visits are organised so that the children can experience first hand an aspect of that culture. As well as this, they study how the Arts play an important part in different cultures around the world. Through Art, Music, Drama and Dance the children learn how the arts play an important part in cultures and communities.
This year, our focus was 'What makes Britain Great?' Each year group chose a different aspect of Great Britain and found out about their own culture and how the diversity of Britain has helped to make it 'Great'. Here are some of the children at work.
