Remote Learning

Remote Learning Update - 19th January 2022.

If your child is having to isolate due to a positive Covid-19 result, is asymptomatic  and well enough to complete school work a Work Pack and directions will be provided. Please contact the school office if you require such a pack.

However, if your child is too ill to complete school work during their isolation time a work will not be expected to be completed. Should this change at any time please contact the school and work will be provided.

The Remote Learning provision at Fairfield Primary School is accessible through 2 different platforms.  For children within Reception, daily work and feedback will be provided online through Tapestry as this is already used daily within EYFS.  In addition to this staff will be holding 'meets' and 'lessons' through Microsoft Teams.  Microsoft Teams is the platform that remote learning is provided across both Key Stage One and Two.  a range of live lessons, recorded lessons, catch up meetings, check in meetings, tasks, assignments and assessment opportunities are delivered by our class teachers.

Further to these platforms all of the work being provided online is available in paper form from the school office.  The weekly work can be collected from the Monday morning of each week.  The work that is being set continues to follow our Fairfield curriculum as closely as possible. Where this isn't possible, teachers are aware that gaps in learning opportunities will need to be delivered during the Spring and Summer Terms through a catch up programme.

We endeavour to maintain a consistent approach across the school for pupils who aren't in school.  The lead teacher for Remote Learning is Matt Eitel-Smith (Deputy Head Teacher). If you require further information regarding our Remote Learning please email sec.fairfieldprimary@halton.gov.uk
